PDPA Training
Education Empowers Your Team
Get Your Organisation Aligned for Personal Data Protection
Why PDPA Training?
After you have the appropriate practices, policies and processes in place, where do you see is the weakest link for matters pertaining personal data? Answer: Your staff. Personal data protection is not a high-level management issue. It involves the entire company to take care of these data including responding to complaints.
An untrained staff can lead to a complaint not properly managed. It can lead to more complaints or not looked into further, causes more data compromise. This can lead to an investigation and if found a contravention to PDPA, a fine up to $1 million. We think it is a small fee to get trained rather than exposing the organisation to such risks. There is reputation damage which could hurt the organisation badly too.
Training Stages
One of the tools we help organisations to develop is the staff training and communication plan. There are 5 stages to train your staff namely:
- Awareness
- Understanding
- Acceptance
- Commitment
- Action
Commitment (a buy-in) is as important as alignment throughout the organisation. Only through commitment, staff are able to proactively review the business and management processes to take care of data protection requirements.
Depending on the needs, we conduct training for various levels within the organisation. It can start with our PDPA course which is a WSQ course. We also use PDPC elearning to train your staff too.
